The other day one of my favorite things happened! I had the chance to meet one of my fans at work. Anyone that works retail can appreciate what it feels like to have someone come visit you at work and make you feel special. Well, he didn’t anticipate me being there apparently, because he asked me for the Pure Wand and when I told him that I loved that toy he said “Yeah I read some good stuff about it on some site, ‘queer…’?” I being the ham I am was like “OMG that’s my site!” and he was like “OMG you’re the guy?!” and I was like “OMG yes!” He got the Pure Wand (I hope you liked it!) and also told me that he had bought the Aneros Maximus per my suggestion and that he loved it! We got to talking and I mentioned that there were only two Aneros toys that I hadn’t reviewed yet and so I decided to knock one of them out of the way, in honor of someone making my otherwise drab day at work more exciting; the Aneros MGX is next on the chopping block!
How cute was that cat video, by the way? I don’t know about your cats but the cat I used to have would have sliced my eyeballs into fourths if he ever got wet, my fault or not.
Like all the Aneros toys, the MGX was designed by physicians based around the male anatomy. It’s made of a medical grade non-porous plastic called Acetal. This means lots of good things: you can use any lube you want with it, it wont harbor bacteria, and (providing your dog doesn’t get ahold of it) it will last a lifetime!
But does it work?
I wish it didn’t. Frankly I am getting sick of Aneros being so spot on. Pun intended though, because this model goes right for the P-spot (prostate gland aka the Money Zone)! There are a few differences between this model and the others which make it excellent. It’s slimmer design means that people who have graduated from the Helix but don’t want to go for something quite so large like the Maximus or Progasm will be able to continue playing at an advanced level. You see, a slimmer design means you have to have pretty developed PC muscles (the muscle that you contract and release to move the piece up and down) in order to operate it, however the MGX also comes with some slight ribbing towards the base which helps you grip and move it.
Inserting the MGX is a piece of cake. I added a bit of Maximus lube to it and stuck her in. Your butt may not be as eager as mine is so take your time with inserting it. You never want to force anything in your butt, because your butt will not be happy about that. As soon as you insert the toy you can feel it resting right on your prostate, but not too intense at all. The intensity comes from when you begin to use the toy. The massage it provides is excellent and left me glowing afterward.
I should note that one model of Aneros that I will not be reviewing is the MGX’s sister, the SGX. This is because, although they have a similar shape, the SGX is smaller and was designed for people 5′ 6″ and shorter. If you are taller than that, pick up the MGX. If you are a shorty, give the SGX a try. It’s the same basic thing.
Overall I’d say that like the other Aneros toys, the MGX delivers and is a great addition to your solo or partner play. Thank you, Aneros!
