ID Pleasure

id_pleasureAhhh, another day another lubricant to try.  Sometimes I avoid certain lubes because I can tell they are going to be awful.  The ID brand is a brand that I typically don’t recommend to people because it just always feels so cheap between my finger tips.  I like thick, long lasting lubricants, and ID always feels so thin.  Well someone came in a few months back wanting to return ID Pleasure because — he claimed — it burned him.  Yes, down THERE.  I decided that I needed to test this lube to see what could potentially cause a burning sensation and to see if it was even worth my recommendation in the future.

Of course I have never heard of a lubricant causing a burn just by being applied externally, but I suppose it is possible.  Some people are sensitive to certain ingredients and chemicals, and ID Pleasure has plenty of both:

Water, glycerin, propylene glycol, cellulose polymer, polyethylene oxide, sodium benzoate, ginkgo biloba leaf extract, trifolium pratense (red clover) flower extract, methylparaben, carbomer 981, tetrahydroxypropyl ethylenediamine, diazolidinyl urea, edta, flavor (aroma), and menthol.

That’s a lot of shit!

ID Pleasure claims to “heighten sensation”.  This could mean any number of things, but based on the ingredients I can tell that it is going to create a strong tingling sensation.

I applied a decent amount and felt that it was really really thin.  As I’ve mentioned before I prefer thicker lubricants because the thinner ones just feel too insignificant.  Some people like thinner lubricants though so maybe you’d be into this one.

The tingling sensation that I suspected would be there was indeed present.  Jerking off with a tingling lubricant is kinda cool.  If you are interested in experiencing the sensation I definitely suggest trying it out!  I would prefer you use a good water base and some Liquid V for Men though.  That stuff not only tingles but it makes you more sensitive to touch too.

It didn’t dry out super fast, but it did still dry out faster than some of the other lubes I use.  I wouldn’t use this with any toys because it’s so thin, but just going for your palm it is fine I guess.
The only way I can see someone burning themselves with this lubricant would be if there was a cut or wound on their dick itself.  The menthol tingling in the wound would actually be pretty painful.  An extreme allergic skin reaction might do the trick also, however this dude came to me with half the bottle empty (half full!) so I doubt it was all in one sitting and thus it must have been a surface scratch.  Or maybe it was in one sitting and the burning came from him tugging his timber too much.  Who can say!  I highly doubt it was the fault of the lubricant though.

I wont lie, I do enjoy a good tingle here and there.  But this lube just feels so thin and cheap, I really can’t see myself wanting the sensation that bad.  I wont say that this lube is terrible, especially because it is so cheap (a 2.8oz bottle was $6) but with all those ingredients in it you can bet that it would only ever go on my dick and never in my ass!

I dunno.  Give it a try, maybe you’ll like it.  I’ve certainly had better though.
