Ever since I tried the WET Together Warming lube I have been curious about other warming lubricants. I am not a fan of cheap lubes by default but WET seemed pretty good. One of my favorite brands however is System JO, and they happen to make a lube called System JO H2O Warming. I was sure it would blow WET out of the water so I picked some up and went to town!One of the things that I like about System JO is that they use natural ingredients whenever possible. In the case of System JO Warming they do something interesting: they use Acacia Honey (type A) and Peppermint. Acacia Honey is known for its potential to remain in a liquid state for a long period of time due to its high concentration of fructose. It’s also great at sweetening things without altering the flavor. Peppermint is typically added to lubes simply to create a tingling sensation, so it was strange to find it in a warming lube.
Because of these unique ingredients I decided to give the lube a taste test. I was pleased to find that it not only had a sweet, pepperminty taste to it but also a nice peppermint aroma! I’ll come back to this point later.
Using the System JO H2O Warming lube was great. It stayed slick for a long time which is good news for a water base, and it even seemed to last longer than the regular System JO Water Base. It felt great and had a great consistency and was an overall good experience.
But I was sad.
The lube never seemed to warm up, especially the way the WET did which was seemingly instantaneous. It smelled nice and felt great, but the whole time I was waiting for the warming effects to kick in. It never did, at least not for me, and although I jerked off for an entire session without having to reapply, I was left feeling glum that WET one upped my favorite lube company.
HOWEVER!
This is a great lube for masturbating. Like I said, the viscosity was great and it was long lasting. One step further, it would be a great lube to use for oral sex. Do you not use lube when you give head? You should! It feels great, it’s just a matter of finding a lube that doesn’t taste like shit, and as I mentioned before this lube tastes and smells great! The peppermint really stands out and if you like the taste of it you’re sure to stay down there a lot longer than normal, which will definitely make him a happy camper.
All in all I’d say that System JO H2O Warming is not a good warming lube, but is an otherwise great lube for solo or oral play. Pick up a small bottle and try for yourself! They are pretty affordable in the $10 to $44 depending on which size you get and it will definitely add something extra to your bedside manner.
