I am not a fan of dildos, but I am a fan of my fans. Someone wrote in asking why I’ve never covered a plain, straight up vibrating dildo. I confessed that I really don’t like them and thus have zero in my collection. However, I aim to please so I put my personal preferences on hold and picked up the Pure Stud the other day for your reading pleasure. I’m like the modern day Eva Perone or something.

Ok, now when I say I don’t like dildos I think I am in the minority of the sex toy using community on that one. In all fairness, there is really nothing wrong with them. They are shaped like wieners, have a nice range of sizes and textures, and they sometimes vibrate. All great things, I just have never been a big fan of them. Lots of people do like them though, so I should stop letting my personal preference get in the way of doing my job; masturbating with everything on the planet.

I picked up the Pure Stud because it looked to me the best as far as vibrating dildos go. It has a decent girth to it, it’s about 6″ in length, has a firm core but a soft skin-like outer texture, and features 3 speeds of vibration. According to the package it also features a “lightly scented” aroma, which is actually just California Exotics way of saying “it’s made of cheap material with lots of softeners in it which make it smell like a chemical stick”. It claims to be Phthalate Free, but I am using a condom with this one regardless. Sorry Cal Exotics — don’t believe you!

Inserting the Pure Stud is like any other thicker toy. Lots of relaxing and lube. You should stick to a water based lubricant if you aren’t going to use a condom with this (and I highly recommenced that you do use a condom — it’s made of something they call “Pure Skin Material” which is undoubtedly porous and you don’t want your toys harboring bacteria and the like).

Once it is inside, it actually does feel a lot like the real thing. As much as a toy can, anyway. The texture is really interesting combined with the firm core. It’s so short though that holding on to it to pull it in and out is kind of a pain.

I tried out the vibrations and they feel nice. The high speed is a pretty decent speed and felt great inside, but I couldn’t get passed the fact that I had to use my hand the entire time to make it move. I’ve been so spoiled with my hands free or my handled toys! A suction cup at the base of this toy would have been great because as it stands it’s just a lot of work for what it does.

Regardless of the difficulty though, it got me off pretty quick and felt great inside. Say! That reminds me of my ex — RIMSHOT!

It feels great when it vibrates, the texture is really cool, the thickness is perfect for people like me who enjoy a bit of girth, but I hate using it because it smells like chemical flowers and it’s hard to maneuver. If you aren’t a diva like me and are dead set on a vibrating dildo though, it would be a great one for you! It’s only about $40 and comes in white or brown.
